Translation Services
I offer creative German to English translation and Spanish to English translation in the fields of marketing, tourism, art and literature.
I mainly work with the following formats – MS Word, PDFs or Excel – and I use a range of CAT (computer-assisted translation) tools, such as Wordfast, SDL Trados and Memsource. These ensure consistency throughout the translation, and can give increased accuracy in terms of quality assurance checks. Use of these will depend on the nature of the source text: in creative translation in particular it is often better to work in Word, as this allows a freer, more creative approach than a line by line CAT tool.
I offer high quality, value for money translations, professionally executed and presented. The price point for a translation project depends on many factors, such as the level and complexity of the text, the size of the project, and the time-scale.
